Whilst interning in New York, Sophie produced in-house audiovisual content of live poetry events at Nuyorican Poets Cafe, a place renound in East Village for the poetry scene, originally born to champion Puerto Rican voices in New York before its gentrification. She covered the American Sign Language poetry group using poetry to share and promote stories from the history of the deaf community in New York.
